WIESBADEN – In the first six months of 2019, 1,465 people died in road traffic accidents in Germany. According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), this was a decrease of 40 people, or 2.7%, on the first half of 2018. The number of people injured dropped by 5.1% to well above 178,500.
