WIESBADEN – The number of women in standard employment increased markedly by roughly 300,000 (+2.8%) in 2018 year on year. In the same period, the number of women in atypical employment declined by approximately 160,000 (-3.1%). The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the number of men in standard employment rose by 150,000 (+1.0%) in 2018 year on year. The number of men in atypical employment decreased by 45,000 (-1.9%).
