WIESBADEN – In the first quarter of 2019, 6 million of the roughly 65 million internet users in Germany used the smart home technology. To coincide with the International Consumer Electronics Fair taking place in Berlin from 6 to 11 September, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports this based on first results of the 2019 survey of the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in households. The users of the smart home technology accounted for approximately 9% of all internet users in the first quarter of 2019.
