WIESBADEN – The turnover in selected service branches increased by a calendar and seasonally adjusted 3.8% in the second quarter of 2019 compared with the second quarter of 2018. Based on first calculations, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the index reached a new all-time high since coverage started in 2003. Compared with the first quarter of 2019, the adjusted turnover rose by 1.0%. The seasonally adjusted number of persons employed increased by 1.0% on the second quarter of 2018 and reached a new record high, too. It was up 0.1% on the first quarter of 2019.
