WIESBADEN – At the end of 2018, roughly 411,000 people in Germany received standard benefits in accordance with the Act on Benefits for Asylum Seekers (AsylbLG). That was a 12% decrease compared with 2017 (469,000 people). The number of recipients declined for the third year in a row after the all-time high of 2015 (975,000 people).
