WIESBADEN – Citizens and businesses in Germany are satisfied overall with the services provided by public authorities. This is the result of a survey conducted recently by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) on behalf of the Federal Government. 83% of citizens and 83% of businesses state that they are fairly or very satisfied with administrative services. Slightly higher satisfaction values were recorded for public authorities in rural areas than for those in large towns and cities. Citizens in the country state that public authorities are easily accessible and they are more satisfied with the duration of processes and waiting times than people in the cities.
