WIESBADEN – German construction companies with 20 or more persons employed invested roughly 4.7 billion euros in tangible fixed assets in 2018. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this was an increase of nearly 700 million euros (+17.4%) compared with 2017. The volume of investments reached the highest level in 24 years (1995: 4.7 billion euros).
