WIESBADEN – In October 2019 German local courts reported 1,592 business insolvencies. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that this was a decline of 6.0% compared with October 2018.
The local courts reported that, in relation to the business insolvency requests, the prospective debts owed to creditors amounted to nearly 3.4 billion euros in October 2019. In October 2018 they totalled 1.1 billion euros.
