WIESBADEN – Agreed earnings in Germany rose by an average 3.2% in 2019 compared with 2018. This is shown by the index of agreed monthly earnings including extra payments. The provisional result released on 12 December 2019 (+3.1%) has been slightly revised upwards. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that agreed earnings excluding extra payments rose by 2.7% in 2019 compared with the previous year. Consumer prices went up by 1.4% over the same period.
