WIESBADEN – The turnover in selected service branches increased by a calendar and seasonally adjusted 1.7% in the fourth quarter of 2019 compared with the same quarter of 2018. Based on first calculations, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that a new all-time high was reached since coverage started in 2003. Compared with the third quarter of 2019, the adjusted turnover rose by 0.6%. The seasonally adjusted number of persons employed increased by 0.6% on the fourth quarter of 2018 and by 0.5% on the third quarter of 2019.
