WIESBADEN – In 2018, an average 68 kilograms of sales packaging per capita was collected from private final users in Germany, which had been separated from residual waste. According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the amount of packaging waste collected in the yellow bin, glass and paper containers or comparable systems remained almost unchanged at 5.7 million tonnes compared with the previous year.
