WIESBADEN – In the first quarter of 2020, nearly 32,200 businesses were started in Germany whose legal form and number of employees suggest that they have greater economic importance. Based on an evaluation of business notifications, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a 7.7% decline compared with the first quarter of 2019.
