WIESBADEN – Environmental protection is not only good for the environment, but it also creates new jobs in Germany (green jobs). The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that 289,280 people (measured in full-time equivalents) in Germany were employed in the production of goods, services and construction operations for environmental protection in 2018. This means that the number of green jobs increased by 9.6% compared with the previous year.
