New orders in main construction industry, April 2020
+2.7% on the previous month (in real terms, seasonally and calendar adjusted)
-5.3% on the same month a year earlier (in real terms, calendar adjusted)
-2.3% on the same month a year earlier (in nominal terms)
WIESBADEN – The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that price-adjusted new orders in the main construction industry in April 2020 increased a seasonally and working-day adjusted 2.7% on March 2020.
In building construction and civil and underground engineering, in establishments of enterprises with 20 or more persons, new orders decreased by 2.3% in nominal terms compared with the corresponding month of the previous year.
