WIESBADEN - The corona crisis affected the turnover of travel providers in the first quarter of 2020. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that turnover in the sector of travel agency, tour operator and other reservation service and related activities was down by approximately 23%, in calendar and seasonally adjusted terms, compared with the previous quarter. This was the largest decline in turnover in the travel industry since 2008.
