WIESBADEN – Agreed earnings in Germany increased by an average of 1.5% in the second quarter of 2020 on the same quarter of the previous year. The calculation included the agreed basic remuneration and the extra payments provided for in wage settlements, such as one-off payments, annual extra payments and agreed back payments. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, excluding extra payments, the year-on-year increase was 2.5% in the second quarter of 2020. Consumer prices went up by 0.8% over the same period.
