Prices of residential property, 2nd quarter of 2020 (provisional)
+6.6% on the same quarter of the previous year
+2.0% on the previous quarter
WIESBADEN – The prices of residential property (house price index) in Germany in the second quarter of 2020 were an average of 6.6% higher than in the same quarter of 2019. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the prices of dwellings and single-family and two-family houses were up 2.0% compared with the previous quarter. Thus the prices of residential property continued to rise in both cities and rural areas despite the corona crisis.
