WIESBADEN – Today, 1 October 2020, the Federal Government has started the public dialogue on the further development of the German Sustainable Development Strategy. This was preceded by a first participative dialogue process from October 2019 to February 2020, including several regional conferences. At the conferences, the Federal Government discussed the update of the Sustainable Development Strategy with representatives from the economy, science and the civil society. The dialogue version of the Sustainable Development Strategy published today is the outcome of the dialogue series. At the same time, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) has provided the Sustainable Development Strategy indicators on a special page of its online platform on sustainable development in Germany in an interactive and map-based form.
