WIESBADEN - Travel warnings have been issued for many regions abroad, or these regions have been designated as risk areas. For this reason, domestic holiday destinations can be expected to be the more popular during the autumn holidays - despite increasing infection rates and accommodation bans in the country. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that the Black Forest was especially popular among travellers one year ago. Compared with other regions in Germany, the Black Forest accounted for the largest number of overnight visitors (roughly 877,000) in October 2019.
