Press Agreed earnings in the 3rd quarter of 2020: +1.2% on the same quarter of the previous year

WIESBADEN – Agreed earnings in Germany rose by an average of 1.2% in the third quarter of 2020, year on year. This was the lowest increase on the same quarter a year earlier since the second quarter of 2011 (also 1.2%). The result includes the agreed basic remuneration and the extra payments provided for in wage settlements, such as one-off payments, annual extra payments or agreed back payments. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, excluding extra payments, the year-on-year increase amounted to 2.0%. Consumer prices declined by 0.1% over the same period.
