WIESBADEN – In the third quarter of 2020, roughly 24,000 abortions were reported in Germany. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a decrease of 3.7% compared with the third quarter of 2019. This rate of change is within the usual range of fluctuation so that there is no need to assume a special effect due to the coronavirus pandemic.
