WIESBADEN – Mobility in Germany in the first half of February 2021 (Weeks 5 and 6 from 1 to 14 February) was by 19% below the pre-crisis level of February 2019. This means that the decrease in mobility was larger than in January when it had been -14%. This is shown by a special evaluation of experimental data carried out by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) to represent current mobility changes during the coronavirus pandemic. When compared between Länder, the mobility decrease on 2019 in Weeks 5 and 6 of 2021 was particularly high in Hamburg (-30%) and Berlin (-27%) It was lowest in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (-10%).
