WIESBADEN – In 2019 roughly 123,300 people were employed in a fine art profession. Based on the microcensus, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that they accounted for 0.3% of the population in employment. The profession includes, for example, professional fine artists, artisans, photographers and ornamental blacksmiths. These results are released in the new Fine Art sector review which assesses the current state of fine art and design in Germany.
