WIESBADEN – In 2020, the agricultural holdings in Germany harvested a total 3.9 million tonnes of vegetables. The total quantity harvested thus was at previous year's level and by just under 6% above the average of the years from 2014 to 2019. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the number of holdings cultivating vegetables was down by just over 7% from 6,580 to 6,100 compared with the last complete count conducted in 2016.
