New orders in main construction industry, January 2021
+2.0% on the previous month (in real terms, seasonally and calendar adjusted)
+1.5% on the same month a year earlier (in real terms, calendar adjusted)
-1.2% on the same month a year earlier (in nominal terms)
WIESBADEN – The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that price-adjusted new orders in the main construction industry in January 2021 increased a seasonally and working-day adjusted 2.0% on December 2020.
In building construction and civil and underground engineering, in establishments of enterprises with 20 or more persons, new orders decreased by 1.2% in nominal terms compared with the corresponding month of the previous year.
