Turnover in accommodation and food services, March 2021 (provisional results)
+4.5%, in real terms, on the previous month (calendar and seasonally adjusted)

WIESBADEN - In March 2021, the calendar and seasonally adjusted turnover in accommodation and food services increased by both a real (price-adjusted) and nominal (not price adjusted) 4.5% compared with February 2021. Based on provisional results, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that turnover was down 66.8% (in real terms, calendar and seasonally adjusted) compared with February 2020, the month before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.
