WIESBADEN – According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the real (price-adjusted) turnover of all wholesale enterprises in Germany was 1.2% lower, on a calendar and seasonally adjusted basis, in the 1st quarter of 2021 compared with the 1st quarter of 2020, while the nominal (not price-adjusted) turnover was 0.4% higher. Compared with the 4th quarter of 2019, the quarter before the coronavirus pandemic broke out in Germany, turnover in the 1st quarter of 2021 was down by 3.0% in real terms and by 1.2% in nominal terms.
