-1.9% on the same quarter a year earlier (calendar and seasonally adjusted, not price adjusted)
Persons employed in selected service branches, 1st quarter of 2021:
+1.2% on the previous quarter (seasonally adjusted)
-0.6% on the same quarter a year earlier (seasonally adjusted)
WIESBADEN - According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the enterprises in the service sector generated a seasonally and calendar adjusted, nominal turnover (not price adjusted) in the 1st quarter of 2021 that was 2.0% higher than in the 4th quarter of 2020. Compared with the same quarter of the previous year, the adjusted turnover fell by 1.9%. Compared with the 4th quarter of 2019, the quarter before restrictions were imposed due to the corona pandemic, turnover was down by 3.2% (calendar and seasonally adjusted).
