Turnover in crafts with compulsory approval, 1st quarter of 2021

Persons employed in crafts with compulsory approval, end of March 2021

WIESBADEN – In the 1st quarter of 2021, turnover in crafts with compulsory approval decreased by 7.5% in Germany compared with the 1st quarter of 2020. This is the first time since 2013 that turnover in crafts with compulsory approval decreased in the first quarter of a year. Based on provisional figures, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the number of persons employed in crafts with compulsory approval was down by 1.7% at the end of March 2021 compared with the end of March 2020.
