Turnover in accommodation and food services, April 2021 (provisional results)
-6.3%, in real terms, on the previous month (calendar and seasonally adjusted)
-6.5%, in nominal terms, on the previous month (calendar and seasonally adjusted)
+24.2%, in real terms, on the same month a year earlier
+27.9%, in nominal terms, on the same month a year earlier
WIESBADEN - In April 2021, the calendar and seasonally adjusted turnover in accommodation and food services decreased by a real (price adjusted) 6.3% and a nominal (not price adjusted) 6.5% compared with March 2021. Based on provisional results, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that turnover was a real (price adjusted) 68.9% (calendar and seasonally adjusted) below the level of February 2020, the month before the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.
