WIESBADEN – In May 2021, Germany’s exports to countries outside the European Union (third countries) were down 3.0% on April 2021 after calendar and seasonal adjustment. Based on provisional data, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, upon calendar and seasonal adjustment, exports to third countries were 5.8% higher than in February 2020, the month before restrictions were imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.
