WIESBADEN/BONN – The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) has been given the legal mandate to set up a register of enterprise basic data. The Enterprise Basic Data Register Act (UBRegG) adopted on 15 July 2021 is expected to lead to a marked reduction of burdens on enterprises and authorities. Introducing a standard identification code applicable across authorities in the whole of Germany will enable enterprises to indicate their master data only once to an authority (once-only principle). The register will be set up at the Bonn Branch Office. It will make a major contribution to implementing the Online Access Act (OZG).
