WIESBADEN – The index of nominal earnings in Germany was up by 5.5% in the second quarter of 2021 on the same quarter a year earlier. The index reflects the development of gross monthly earnings including extra payments. Consumer prices rose by 2.4% in the same period. The resulting real (price adjusted) growth in earnings amounts to 3.0%.
