WIESBADEN – Turnover in the non-financial business economy in Germany was slightly down in August 2021 compared with the previous month. Based on provisional data, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that the nominal (not price adjusted) turnover decreased by 0.3% on a seasonally and calendar adjusted basis compared with July 2021. Turnover in the non-financial business economy was a nominal 12.9% higher in August 2021 than in February 2020, the month before restrictions were imposed because of the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.
