Press Building permits for dwellings in August 2021: -1.8% on a seasonally and calendar adjusted basis compared with the previous month

  • Construction of 30,149 dwellings permitted in August 2021   
  • January to August 2021: building permits issued up 5.1% on the same period a year earlier

WIESBADEN – According to provisional figures, the construction of 30,149 dwellings was authorised in August 2021. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a decrease of 1.8% in seasonally and calendar adjusted terms compared with July 2021.
