WIESBADEN – Based on provisional calculations of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the collectively agreed earnings in Germany are expected to increase by 1.3% in 2021, on an annual average, compared with 2020. This would be the lowest increase in agreed earnings since the beginning of the time series in 2010. The calculation included the agreed monthly basic remuneration and agreed extra payments such as one-off payments, annual extra payments and agreed back payments. Excluding extra payments, the agreed monthly earnings are expected to be 1.4% higher than the 2020 average.
