WIESBADEN – In December 2021, Germany’s exports to countries outside the European Union (third countries) were down by 6.4% on a calendar and seasonally adjusted basis compared with November 2021. Based on provisional data, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, upon calendar and seasonal adjustment, exports to third countries were 7.7% higher than in February 2020, the month before restrictions were imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic in Germany.
