WIESBADEN – In January 2022, Germany’s exports to countries outside the European Union (third countries) were up 9.4% on a calendar and seasonally adjusted basis compared with December 2021. Germany exported goods to the value of 56.3 billion euros (calendar and seasonally adjusted) in January 2022 according to provisional data of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). Calendar and seasonally adjusted exports to third countries were thus 19.3% higher than in February 2020, the month before restrictions were imposed because of the Covid-19 pandemic in Germany.
