Annual result of 2021 (provisional, unadjusted values)
+2.1% in 2021 compared with 2020 (in real terms)
+10.1% in 2021 compared with 2020 (in nominal terms)
WIESBADEN – According to provisional results of the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), the real (price-adjusted) turnover of wholesale trade in Germany was 2.1% higher and the nominal (not price-adjusted) turnover was 10.1% higher in 2021 than in 2020, the year with the largest turnover so far. Compared with the pre-Covid year of 2019, wholesale turnover was up by 4.0% in real terms in 2021.
