WIESBADEN – In 2021, turnover in crafts with compulsory approval in Germany increased again by 1.7% on the previous year. This growth was also fuelled by price increases.Trades serving industrial needs and health trades accounted for a large part of the positive turnover development. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports this on the basis of provisional results from the advance turnover tax returns. The number of persons employed in crafts with compulsory approval declined by an annual average of 1.3% in 2021 compared with the previous year.
