WIESBADEN – Agreed earnings in Germany rose by an average of 4.0% in the first quarter of 2022, year on year. The result includes the agreed basic remuneration and the extra payments provided for in wage settlements. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that, excluding extra payments, the year-on-year increase amounted to 1.1%. Consumer prices increased by 5.8% over the same period.
