Turnover in crafts with compulsory approval, 1st quarter 2022

WIESBADEN – In the first quarter of 2022, turnover in crafts with compulsory approval in Germany increased by 16.0% compared with the first quarter of 2021, which had been affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This increase should be considered in the context of the price increases of the last few months.Based on provisional figures, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports, however, that the number of persons employed in crafts with compulsory approval was down by 0.7% at the end of March 2022 compared with the end of March 2021.
