WIESBADEN – As reported by the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), turnover in building completion work inclined by 0.7% on a real basis (price adjusted) in the first quarter of 2022 compared to the first quarter of the previous year. Due to the substantial increase in construction prices, however, nominal turnover was up by 15.0%.
At the end of March 2022 the number of persons employed by building completion work entrepreneurs was up 0.7% compared to the level a year earlier.
