WIESBADEN – Producer prices of agricultural products were 36.0% higher in May 2022 than in May 2021. In April 2022, the price change had been +40.0%. Compared with the previous month, prices fell by 0.7%. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the prices of both plant products (+37.0%) and animal products (+35.2%) rose significantly on the same month a year earlier, though less sharply than in April 2022.
