WIESBADEN – Producer prices of agricultural products were 33.4% higher in July 2022 than in July 2021. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that the year-on-year increase slowed slightly again. The rate of change had been +33.9% in June 2022 and +35.6% in May 2022. Compared with the previous month, prices fell by 0.8% in July 2022. The prices of plant products rose by 25.8% on the same month a year earlier, which was a slightly smaller increase than that of animal products prices (+38.8%). The rate of change had been +35.7% for plant products in June 2022 and +32.7% for animal products.
