+10.2% on the same quarter of the previous year
+2.5% on the previous quarter

WIESBADEN – The prices of residential property (house price index) in Germany rose an average 10.2% in the second quarter of 2022 on the same quarter a year earlier. The rate of change of the house price index exceeded 10% for the fifth time in a row, compared with the same quarter of the previous year. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that the prices of dwellings and of single-family and two-family houses were up by an average 2.5% compared with the previous quarter.
