WIESBADEN – The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) took over the security guard register on 10 October 2022, which up to then had been maintained by the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA). The BAFA supports the Länder authorities in enforcing security guard law. For the purpose, data on all enterprises in the security guard industry and their security staff are stored. They are used to support the trade supervisory offices in on-site inspections of security staff. The security guard register is now available online at www.bewacherregister.de. More information and user help are also available there. Transferring the register does not involve any burden on users. All data stored at the BAFA have been transferred.
