WIESBADEN – In September 2022, 252 people died in road traffic accidents in Germany. Based on provisional results, the Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) also reports that this was a decline of 19 people compared with September 2021. The number of people injured was down by 5% to roughly 34,100 in September 2022 year on year. Compared with September 2019, which was not affected by the pandemic, there were 23 less fatalities and 1,900 less persons injured (-5%).
