WIESBADEN – Producer prices of agricultural products were 37.9% higher in October 2022 than in October 2021. The rate of change had been +40.3% in September 2022 and +34.6% in August 2022. The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that prices in October 2022 were up 1.1% on the previous month. The prices of plant products rose by +26.0% on the same month a year earlier, which was a smaller increase than that of animal products prices (+46.8%). The rate of change had been +28.0% for plant products in September 2022 and +49.1% for animal products.
