WIESBADEN – In 2021, expert organisations inspected 232,437 installations for handling water-hazardous substances in the whole of Germany and found technical or regulatory defects with just under a third (30.6%) of the installations. This proportion remained nearly unchanged compared with the previous year (2020: 30.9%) The Federal Statistical Office (Destatis) reports that slight defects were found with 49,980 installations (21.5%), 21,052 installations had significant defects (9.1%) and 70 installations (0.03%) even dangerous defects.
